Sierra Golf offers a 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving range, Tuition facility and Café Bar, all located close to Balsicas, within a few minutes drive of the Mar Menor, and near to the residential urbanisations within the Mar Menor area.
Although the course was originally intended to form part of a larger residential urbanisation, it is now a privately run concern, being operated by Alan and Ally, guaranteeing a friendly and welcoming family atmosphere, which suits all levels of golfer, including beginners, as well as superb value for those who would like to play a few holes of serious golf
The course itself was designed by Alvaro Rodríguez-Murcia and offers a 9 hole, 36 Par course, designed with several lakes and bunkers, holes set out anti-clockwise around the lakes. Holes include pars 3,4 and 5 and the course offers challenging facilities for accomplished golfers and less experienced golfers alike. Covering over 3,339m for the 9 holes this is one of the longer courses available in the area.
The club house building has a golf shop and offers equipment for hire, and Alan provides tuition and guidance for players at all levels.
There is also an extensive driving range facility, which is open for both members and non-members to use, at very reasonable rates.
Sierra Golf offers superb value for golfers, with particularly attractive green fees. The evening twilight fees are generally reckoned to be amongst the best value in the region, at just 10 euros after 4pm.

Sierra Golf is home to the Sierra Golf society, an enthusiastic group of golfers who are always keen to welcome new members. The club participate in the regular competitions held at Sierra Golf and run their own events throughout the year.

Tuesday's Turn-Up Stapleford Comp the Club hosts an 18 Hole Open Stapleford competition, 9.30 start.

Opening Hours: Open 8 am till sundown every day of the year. Cafe bar open 8 a.m till 8p.m during the week, and open till late on Fridays and Saturday's.

Sierra Golf is situated close to Balsicas, on the C3319 with motorway links to the AP7 to the east leading to the towns of Roda and coastal towns of San Javier and A30 leading northwards to Murcia city.
From Balsicas, follow the road marked for La Tercia for 2kms through lemon groves, second left (sign posted Sierra golf) follow for few hundred meters and you will see the sign for Sierra Golf (turn in to the urbanisation lead-in road) follow it over 2 roundabouts. 3rd roundabout take the second right and you will, see the large wooden club house on to the gravelled parking area.
