A photography competition is being held in Alhama de Murcia, with the theme of the pictures being the districts of Gebas and El Berro, in the foothills of the Sierra Espuña.
The competition is open to anyone who is resident in Spain, and competitors simply have to enter three photographs of the Barrancos de Gebas and the districts of de Gebas and El Berro. Entry in the competition is free, and photos can be sent by email to cultura@alhamademurcia.es until 13.00 on 10th July, accompanied by the entrant’s personal details.
The first prize is 300 euros, with second and third prizes of 200 and 100 euros respectively. Prizes will be awarded on 10th August at 20.30, when an exhibition of paintings and photography will be officially opened at the Centro Social in Gebas. On 16th August the exhibition will close, before re-opening in El Berro from 24th to 30th August.
