Premursa purchases remaining Paramount Park lands

Premursa have now purchased the remaining lands required for the Paramount Park Murcia

Premursa purchases remaining Paramount Park landsProyectos Emblemáticos Murcianos S.A. (PREMURSA) have today announced that they have now completed the purchase of 295.800,23 m² of land which replaces the plot belonging to Sierra de Alhama, and returns the dimensions of the park to the size originally included in plans for the construction of the Paramount Park Murcia in Alhama de Murcia.

The land in question comprises two separate fincas, located within the pedanía of Las Cañadas de Alhama, adjoining the 1,031.077 m² of  land which was purchased for the project in March of this year.
This brings the total surface area of land purchased to 133 hectares, and provides sufficient space for the projected Paramount Park and Lifestyle Center to be completed as per the original designs.
1.230.091,09 euros, was the price agreed for this latest land purchase, which, added to the 10.341.708,53 € already committed in March, brings the total investment in land purchase to date to 11.571.799,62 euros.

The first stone was laid on the 31st May in a symbolic act attended by the Vice President of Paramount Licensing, Michael Bartok, as well as the President of the Region of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, both parties offering their support for the project.

The President of PREMURSA, Jesús Samper, today expressed his satisfaction that this phase of the project had been successfully completed at last, a process delayed by the financial insolvency of the vendors which had resulted in the paperwork procedures to complete the purchase being more complex than had been initially been apparent.
He said that the project remained on track and that " the timescales established for the project were being adhered to."

The intention of Premursa is to begin clearing works on the land purchased in the autumn, once the heat of summer has died down, and to inaugurate both the park itself and the first phase of the Lifestyle Center in the first quarter of 2015.

Providing the necessary full financing can be found, the park will become a major Europe-wide attraction, bringing in an important revenue stream and jobs for the Region of Murcia.
Those interested in applying for positions within the complex itself, or participating in the construction phase can submit their preliminary job applications online via the Premursa website, priority being given primarily to residents of Alhama de Murcia, followed by existing regional residents.

Full historical coverage of this project, from the very first day it was discussed, can be found by selecting the  Paramount Park Murcia section of the information relating to Alhama de Murcia municipality. These town sections are accessed via the map box at the bottom of every page, including the Home Page.
