The Restaurante Piccolo Mare is part of the Secreto del agua complex at Mar de Cristal, which offers chic apartments and rental lofts, has a stylish beach lounger bar with comfortable, contemporary furniture on a decked area right over the beach, looking out across the Mar Menor and a practical and comfortable all day Café Bar.
The Piccolo Mare Restaurant serves Italian Pasta, Pizza and fish and steak dishes, also offering a children´s menu.
Diners can choose from the comfortable and classically styled interior lounge, or enjoy the comfort of a shaded terrace area, with attractive Mediterranean styling.
The menu is very practically Italian and offers a broad spectrum of dishes, with vegetarian options.
Diners can select from starters, which include generous salads priced at between 5 and 6 euros.
There are also a variety of soups, pâtès and cheeses, mussels, prawns in garlic, clams in seafood sauce or dishes such as leek and prawn puddings, prices ranging from 3.90 to 11.90 euros.
For the main courses diners can select from Spaghetti, Penne or Tagliatelli with a wide variety of sauces on offer, including Carbonara, Bolognaise, Seafood, Cream and mushroom, Tuscan and more, or dishes such as Cannelloni or Lasagne, all made freshly to order.
A wide choice of home made pizzas are also available, including vegetarian options.
For those who prefer a meat or fish dish, there are steaks served with a variety of sauces, chicken, pork or fish, including hake stuffed with seafood, hake filled with salmon and blue cheese, cod in saffron sauce, or sea bream baked in salt.
Main courses range from 8.90 to 19 euros.
To follow, there are a luscious range of waist expanding desserts, including cinnamon cake, cheese and raspberry cake, and hot chocolate and fruits.
Piccolo Mare is open as follows: From 1pm to 4.30pm and 6.30pm to 11pm everyday during the summer. In the winter months the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.
Those eating in the evening can enjoy a cocktail or pre-dinner drink in the stylish Secreto lounge bar, overlooking the Mar Menor first, or enjoy a coffee in the chill-out zone afterwards.

Arena Café Bar
The Arena Café Bar is a front line café bar, with the options of either looking out directly over the beach, retreating into the cool interior, or sitting on the side terrace.
The Café Bar offers a wide selection of standard drinks and coffees, as well as ice creams, a selection of Spanish tapas dishes and a snack menu.
It includes a range of basic snack menu choices, such as burgers, sandwiches and toasted items, including Spanish and Continental breakfasts, and can prepare hot tapas dishes to order as well as supplying the standard cold tapas dishes.
The Café bar is open throughout the year, making it the perfect place for a beachside breakfast, mid-day snack, or cooling drink during the hot summer months.
Open during the winter every day from 9am to 7pm and during the peak summer months of June, July and August until late evening.
The Secreto Lounge Bar
The Secret Lounge Bar is a luxurious decked area with views right across the Mar Menor and Mar de Cristal beach.
Tastefully furnished and finished, it's a stylish and comfortable location from which to sit and enjoy a cocktail or pre-dinner drink, or just chill out and watch the sun go down.
For those who want to relax in comfortable surroundings, there are comfortable seats with shaded awnings, and in the winter the interior area also has welcoming seating, large screen TV's and a winter fire.
The lounge bar is open all year, offering coffees, soft and alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
During the summer there is often live musical entertainment on Saturdays and Sundays.
Throughout the year the Lounge bar is open from 4.30pm until late, and is closed on Thursdays during the winter.
