Los Alcázares has launched a new municipal minibus service, which will be travelling through the streets of the town offering a public bus service and access to the different locations within the town.
The vehicle is a fully equipped minibus, which also has access and facilities for disabled users, and comes with an automated ticketing service.
The service has been functioning since the first July on a test basis but has now come officially into operation, tickets, costing one euro for full price users, with discount tickets of 60 cents for those under the age of 21, disabled and retirees. There is also a reduced price multi-ticket facility those who make frequent journeys.
The council say that this service has been offered due to many requests from residents within the area and that the format chosen is a cost-effective, flexible and practical alternative for those living in the town. Details of routes can be obtained from the tourist offices and town hall.
