Those suffering this year in the summer heat in the city of Murcia will once again have the chance to cool down a little in the evenings with a program of music, dance and cinema events, thanks to the “Murcia en Verano” program organized by the city council’s Department of Culture.
The program of open-air events begins on 23rd June, and will take place in different open spaces throughout the summer every week between Wednesday and Saturday throughout June, July and August.
Admission to all events is free, and the council will be providing 600 seats for cinema events and 200 for music, except for the larger concerts where up to 1,000 people can sit and enjoy the summer night’s entertainment.
There is also the Belluga Festival in July, details of which will be added nearer the time

Cinema
Two films will be shown every Thursday, in Murcia Parque at 21.45 and in the Auditorio of the Jardín de Fofó at 23.00. Murcia is one of the few cities in Spain to continue upholding the tradition of the summer cinema, and is proud to offer a double bill every Thursday in July and August.
