La Floración Guided Cultural Visits

Cieza occupies a strategically important position, overlooking flat fertile plains, cut by a river and dominating the natural routes connecting settlements between the north and centre of the region.

Two of its most important attractions relate to the abundance of natural resources: the prehistoric cave of La Serreta which contains prehistoric rock art and was also used at the end of the Roman occupation when the Goths and Visigoths took this area of Spain, and its Moorish town of Medina Sîyasa, perched high on a rocky outcrop above the modern town, both linked to a museum containing artefacts from the two sites.

These can be visited during La Floración as part of a series of cultural tours.

There are also a number of restaurants offering special Floración Set Menus for the weekends, and it is advisable to book should you wish to guarantee a seat as the peak weekends are busy in the town.
