Iceland fun day for MABS 28th July

Iceland hope to raise a total of 10,000 euros for MABS this year

 Iceland have announced that they will be holding a fun day to raise money for MABS on the 28th July  between 12 midday and 3pm.

MABS is the nominated charity for Iceland, a decision taken by the staff themselves, 

"We´re often asked to help with lots of charities and Russell suggested we take it to the vote and rather than doing a little bit here and a little bit there, lets really get behind one charity. We voted and M.A.B.s was the charity that touched most of our hearts.  In the first year we had a few fund raising/fun events. We had a really successful summer fair with lots of events for all the family. At Christmas Spangles came into the store and made the day with traditional carol singing, we had warm mince pies and mulled wine, food tasting, very festive! That year we raised 6,500! Easter of this year we had a bit of an Easter Fair. But we really want to give a big push for this years Summer Fair and make it the best fund raising event we possibly can."

This year MABS will be bringing along a big selection of clothes and Bric a Brac to sell in the carpark to help raise money, but also talk to anyone who comes along about their work and the two MABS support centres they operate.

They´re also going to have a BBQ on the go, a tombola, face painting, nail art, tasting tables, a big raffle, as well as lots of other activities taking place.

Oasis F.M Radio station will also be entertaining us all with live radio in-store.
