The Romans and Carthaginians Festival in Cartagena is due to take place this year between the 21st and 30th September.
As of early August the cartel (poster) has not yet been released, and no details have yet been confirmed about the programme for this year.
All that is known for certain, is that more of the theatrical acts will take place down in the port area of Cartagena, where it is easier for a larger number of people to view them, and that the battle, now the major event of the week, will return to its customary slot of early evening, rather than the later time slot trialled last year.
Budgetary restraints dictate that the additional cost of lighting the battlefield limit the amount of money available to spend on other areas of the fiestas.
The theatrical events will more or less follow the same pattern of days and order as in previous years, so anyone wishing to plan a visit to Cartagena for this week can pretty much follow the order of last year's programme, but it is too early to be thinking about confirming times.

Details will be released as soon as they're confirmed, so if you want to be sure of getting the full programme as early as possible, make sure you're registered to receive the daily bulletin or signed up on our facebook page.
