Aqua Adicta is a small family run watersports company who have been operating on the Mar Menor since 2006. They offer dinghy sailing and windsurfing tuition and also kayak safaris and power boat trips.
Julian, the Centre Principal, is a Royal Yachting Association Senior Instructor and has taught dinghy sailing in the UKfor several years both within RYA recognised centres and freelance. He has windsurfed for many years and is an enthusiastic and patient teacher. Lesley is also an experienced sailor and has a keen interest in ornithology and ecology and will provide and insight into the local wildlife while leading kayak trips on the Mar Menor.
Sailing and Windsurfing
Our sailing and windsurfing lessons are tailored to the individual; you can focus on improving certain techniques or work through a set programme based on RYA levels 1 & 2. We provide high quality private tuition and normally operate no more than a 3 to 1 student / instructor ratio. For those more experienced and seeking that extra thrill we can also offer tuition using the trapeze or spinnaker.
Tuition is normally broken down into 2 hour segments, therefore, if you are available for a week you can spend every morning out on the water and still have some time to visit the local area or laze on the beach reading a book. Alternatively, if you want to learn as much as possible, you could sail for up to 6 hours per day. All courses run on demand, we have no set start dates.
Kayak Safaris
The Kayak Safaris involve some instruction on the beach and then an excursion on the Mar Menor with a chance to go snorkelling and explore the wildlife. The route taken and distance covered will depend upon your level of fitness and the wind direction on the day. During longer trips we can visit an island while for trips which include young children we drop in at local beaches along the coast.
Power Boat Trips
Our boat trips enable you to get out and explore the islands of the Mar Menor, swim and snorkel then go home with some great photos. You can also learn some power boating techniques from Julian who is a qualified RYA Power Boat Instructor. Activities can include, rescuing a man overboard (not a live one!), approaching a mooring buoy, controlling the boat safely at speed, slow speed manoeuvres and anchoring.
