HOMEMURCIA REGIONAL NEWSADAPT WELCOME THE INTERNATIONAL..

ADAPT welcome the International School of Murcia to their meeting.

Next ADAPT meeting on Saturday 7th July

ADAPT welcome the International School of Murcia to their meeting. The ADAPT  Association, based in San Pedro del Pinatar,  this month welcomed a choir from The International School of Murcia led by Angeles Martinez.    The aim of the group is to improve their English grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary and also to learn about English culture through songs and music.

We were entertained with popular songs ´We all stand together´ which is also known as ´The Frog Song´, Bobby Darin´s  ´Beyond the Sea´,  ´Day Dream Believer´ and  ´More than Words´.  All of which we were encouraged to sing along with.

Some students from the group, although they said they were very nervous, then told us in English a little about the difficulties for them in learning a new language, something that we have in common!!

The ADAPT Singing Group are hoping to sing alongside the choir this Christmas as we did last year.

ADAPT welcome the International School of Murcia to their meeting. Our guest speaker next month will be Gabriel Guirao Sanchez.    The Social Worker from Los Arcos Hospital  will be discussing health issues and ´red tape´.    Señor Sanchez is keen to build bridges with the English speaking community and has already been a great help to many people including  ADAPT  members in the area.

The next meeting of  ADAPT  will be on Saturday 7th July  at 10:30 am in the Hogar de Pensionista,  San Pedro.
