It was carnival time again in San Pedro del Pinatar on Sunday and as usual members of ADAPT association were invited by the Town Hall to take part. Always up for a challenge we chose this year to be Egyptians.
As we all know although the weather is very nice through the day it does go cold in the evening hence we were quite well-padded Egyptians. Not for us the skimpy feathers and leotards!! However we think we looked spectacular and we received much applause from our public who appreciated our dancing along the way.
The parade ended at the port of Lo Pagan where a marquee with drinks and snacks had been set up. With music and the chance to meet other participants in the carnival we all agreed that it had been a wonderful experience.
It was great fun, an honour to be part of Spanish culture and to be accepted into the local community of San Pedro.
